MEET HEATHER MACLEOD
There comes a point in a woman’s life when getting dressed changes.
You know what you like.
You know what feels comfortable.
And you know immediately when something simply wasn’t made with you in mind.
I heard women talk about that for twenty years.
Not in a fashion store.
In my hair salon.
For twenty years, I was a hairdresser in my little salon here in Kelowna. And in my chair, women talked.
About their families. Their work. Getting older. Their confidence.
And I heard the same thing over and over:
“I just can’t find clothes that fit me anymore.”
Not clothes that made them look younger.
Not clothes that followed every new trend.
Just beautiful, comfortable pieces that made them feel like themselves.
I understood exactly what they meant.
Because I was looking for the same thing.
How It Started
Nine years ago, I decided to do something about it.
One autumn day, I walked past a small empty shop near Okanagan Lake.
There were fall leaves on the ground, and the hills behind it were turning gold.
I stopped.
I looked through the window.
And something about that little space wouldn’t leave me alone.
By Friday, it was mine.
After twenty years behind a salon chair, listening to women tell me what they wished they could find, I finally had a place where I could try to make it for them.
I wanted comfortable clothes.
Pretty clothes.
Flattering clothes.
Clothes for women my age.
So I started making them.
By hand.
From One Pair of Hands
From day one, it was just me.
I cut every pattern.
I sewed every seam.
I opened the door every morning and closed it every night.
For years, it worked.
Women came in looking for “just one thing” and stayed to talk.
Some came back every season.
Some brought their sisters or friends.
And every so often, someone would step out of the fitting room, look at herself in the mirror and smile in that quiet way that told me everything I needed to know.
That was always the point.
I never wanted women to feel as though they had to change themselves to fit the clothes.
I wanted the clothes to work for the woman wearing them.
Soft knits for colder Okanagan mornings.
Cardigans you could throw on without thinking.
Blouses that felt feminine without feeling fussy.
Jackets and vests you could layer as the seasons changed.
Trousers that were comfortable enough for everyday life.
And dresses that still made you feel beautiful.
That little shop became more than I ever expected it to be.
But Things Have Changed
I wish I could say the last nine years had stayed the same.
They haven’t.
Fabric costs almost twice as much now.
Thread, materials and nearly everything I need to make each piece have become more expensive.
At the same time, the cost of keeping a small boutique going has continued to rise.
And then this spring, another letter arrived.
My rent is going up again when my lease renews in January.
At first, January felt far away.
It doesn’t anymore.
The letter is still there.
The renewal is getting closer.
And for the first time in nine years, I’ve had to seriously ask myself whether I can afford to keep doing this the way I always have.
I’ve tried to make it work.
I’ve bought more carefully.
I’ve worked longer.
I’ve cut back where I could.
But there’s only one of me.
Only one pair of hands.
And eventually there comes a point where working harder can’t solve everything.
The Nights Nobody Sees
There have been nights when I’ve sat at my kitchen table after closing the shop.
My hands sore.
Numbers in front of me.
That lease renewal in the back of my mind.
Wondering how much longer I could keep going.
Nine years is a long time to build something.
Long enough for it to become part of who you are.
And I’m simply not ready to watch it disappear.
I’m not ready to give up.
That is why I’m holding my Revival Sale.
Not a goodbye sale.
A chance to begin again.
Why This Is a Revival Sale
I need to give this little boutique some breathing room.
I need the pieces I’ve already made to find homes.
And I need to make these next months count.
So for the Revival Sale, every piece is 50% off.
Every piece is still made with the same care.
Every piece still represents the same little boutique I’ve spent nine years building.
The price is lower.
The meaning behind it isn’t.
And because every additional piece helps me that little bit more, I’m also adding an extra thank-you when you choose more than one.

Made for Women Like Us
At sixty years old, I know something I didn’t understand at thirty.
You don’t need a wardrobe full of clothes.
You need the right ones.
The cardigan you reach for again and again.
The jacket that makes an ordinary pair of trousers feel put together.
The blouse that sits just right.
The soft sweater you want when the Okanagan mornings start getting colder.
The piece you put on and immediately feel comfortable in.
That is who I have always made these clothes for.
Not a mannequin.
Not a trend.
A real woman living a real life.
For the Women Who Have Been Here
Some of you have known me since the salon.
Some found the boutique years ago.
Some have come back season after season.
And some of you have told another woman about this little shop.
I remember more of those moments than you probably realise.
You trusted me with what you wore.
You trusted me when I said, “Try this one.”
You supported something that started with one woman, one sewing machine and one little shop near Okanagan Lake.
I have never taken that support for granted.
This Revival Sale is my way of fighting for the chance to keep serving you.
For the Women Just Finding Me
Maybe this is the first time we’ve met.
Welcome.
I’m Heather.
I’m sixty years old, I spent twenty years as a hairdresser here in Kelowna, and for the past nine years I’ve poured myself into this boutique.
You don’t need to know me to understand why it matters.
Maybe you’ve stood in front of your own wardrobe and thought:
“Nothing feels like me anymore.”
That feeling is the reason I opened this shop in the first place.
Take your time.
Look around.
Find the colour you always reach for.
Find the cardigan you can already imagine wearing on a cool morning.
Find the piece that makes you stop for a second.
Sometimes that little instinct is worth listening to.
One Hairdresser. One Dream. Nine Years in Okanagan.
Twenty years behind a salon chair taught me how closely confidence and the way we see ourselves are connected.
Nine years behind this boutique door taught me something else:
Women never stop wanting to feel beautiful.
We just become less interested in dressing for everybody else.
I built Heather’s Okanagan for women who know themselves.
Women who want comfort without giving up style.
Women who want to feel good when they look in the mirror.
And I’m not ready for that story to end.
This is my Revival Sale.
Everything is 50% off.
Choose more and receive up to an additional 25% off.
Free shipping on every order.
Easy 30-day returns.
Every piece you take home gives this little Okanagan dream a little more room to keep going.
And right now, that means more to me than I can put into words.
Come find yours.
With love,
Heather MacLeod ❤️
